This fascinating arena will be demonstrating to the public how the ancient traditional building craft of timber framing is being carried out in our century.
Skilled carpenters will be at work throughout the weekend constructing a framed building using specialist tools to plane, joint and assemble a framed structure using traditional methods. This sustainable building technique is now having a huge revival in our country as people discern the joy of living, working or playing in a beautifully hand crafted timber building.
Also present will be The Oak Frame Company and Broadoak who will be on hand to discuss and advise on any project you have in mind from procuring the appropriate choice of timber, planning issues and advice, design, construction and delivery.
On display will be an exciting mobile framed building. This new popular concept helps to overcome many issues with planning, is a very economic alternative to a fixed building and at present is still exempt from VAT.
Whatever your dreams and requirements this is an area not to be missed.
