Summer Fair 2007 - Llandudno
We held a Woodfest Summer Fair at Bodafon Farm, Llandudno on the 25, 26, 27 August 2007 and were delighted with the event, which attracted over 10,000 visitors. We won't be holding a Summer Fair in Llandudno in 2008, but please visit our website again for future plans, or come along to our St.Asaph Festival at the end of May 2008.
The Summer Fair incorporated some aspects of our St.Asaph Woodfest together with a selection of Summer Fair activities:
- 4 carvers carrying out chainsaw carving displays
- Pole climbing
- Lumberjack displays and competitions organised by UK Loggers and Woodfest Wales
- Woodcrafts
- Coracle making demonstrations
- Green woodworking
- Oak frame construction
- Birds of prey flying displays
- Ferret racing
- Whitchurch Dog display team (Mon.only)
- Food hall with many local food and drink producers
- Large children's funfair
- Horse logging demonstrations
- Childrens pyrography and pottery workshops
- Kite making
- Harp Workshops
- Art/craft workshops
- Tug 'o' war competitions
- Water bomb competitions
- Circus tricks entertainer and lots more.
- A large craft marquee organised by Celtic Winter Fayre featuring over 25 different craft traders.
- Plus FREE entry to Bodafon Farm, where you could see the llamas, sheep, shire horses, deer, goats, highland cattle, enjoy the large childrens play area, farmyard mini tractors and farm trail.
- Also on the farm is the North Wales Bird Trust collection of over 100 birds of prey, tropical birds and rescue birds.
Bodafon Farm is located on Llandudno's North Shore, near the Little Orme.
