Forestry & Arboriculture Zone

Forestry & Arboriculture Zone

We have substantially increased the presence of Professional Forestry and Arboriculture companies, equipment, machinery and related associations, training and advisory organisations.

In St.Asaph the zone will be located all along the bottom of the Festival Field

This is obviously of benefit to this important side of the Timber Industry in Wales, but it also affords an opportunity for members of the general public to gain an insight into Forestry & Arboriculture.

At our previous festivals we have been privileged to have some of the country's leading machinery, tooling, equipment suppliers & advisory bodies - displaying, trading, providing ongoing demonstrations and giving information and advice throughout the three days on topics such as:

Forest management, harvesting, countryside surveys and utility arboriculture.

Demonstrations of up to the minute timber haulage and handling.

Arboriculture, Tree removal and consultancy.

Mobile sawmills, timber conversion, firewood machinery, log splitters, table saws, stump grinders & wood chippers.

Professional Arborists demonstrating tree climbing & aerial rescue skills, chainsaw operation and maintenance.

Suppliers of Woodland Trees & Shrubs. Planting Services.

Suppliers of Firewood & Processing machinery

Educational demonstrations of mobile saw milling and conversion of urban trees.

Horse Logging -

Vintage Forestry Equipment

Expanding on last years popular display of vintage machines, visitors will be able to see a wider variety of machines in action and meet the experts and enthusiasts.
A steam powered 19th century reciprocating saw demonstrated by Jo Lawley of Shropshire.
The saw which has been in use for over 100 years and still works well quite a crowd pleaser and 87 year old Jo was only too delighted to offer advice on the workings of the machine and its history
