Exhibitor Information

Woodfest Wales is becoming an established event in the timber industry and local events calendar. In addition to this, our extensive advertising throughout North Wales and the North West has promoted the Woodfest to the population within a 100 mile radius.
This year’s Woodfest takes place during the schools’ half term holidays, a time when the population of North Wales rises significantly as visitors and holidaymakers converge on the area.
The attendance of all our exhibitors and displays at the Woodfest is what makes the Woodfest work. We appreciate all those who attended last year and welcome new exhibitors this year and for the coming years. Please help us to ensure continued success by promoting the Woodfest on your Website and displaying our leaflets and information wherever you can.
Marketing of the Woodfest takes place on three levels:

1. we aim to attract those people who work in the timber and related industries; to that extent our marketing is carried out via the trade journals, industry associations and bodies and direct mail.

2. we promote the Woodfest as a Tourist Attraction and great family day out. This marketing is aimed primarily at visitors who are already in the area and is conducted through leaflet distribution with North Wales Tourism, Tourist Information Centres, Leaflets in Tourist Attractions, Caravan Parks, Hotels etc. We also aim to attract tourist visitors to the area to attend the Woodfest as well as staying for the weekend in the locality, this marketing is carried out by advertisements and other promotions in newspapers in the North West of England.

3. we look to attract local people, within 20 to 30 miles of the event, those people either with an interest in wood and wood products or those looking for an interesting and varied day out. In addition to newspaper advertising, leaflet distribution, posters and discount cards, we are about to embark on a series of workshops involving a number of schools and clubs within the region. Our primary aims are the promotion and education of wood and the timber industry to schoolchildren and local clubs, there will also be art workshops involving wood. The workshops will have as a focal point the Woodfest itself, with those participating in the workshops being given discount or complimentary tickets to the event.
