The showpiece of the festival ... ‘Carve Cymru’ brings together 18 of the finest chainsaw artists in the UK.
The carvers arrive early the day before the start of the festival to set up, choose their timber and start carving their main sculptures so that when the public arrive Saturday morning these huge sculptures are already taking shape.
The main sculpture pieces will be carved throughout the weekend and will be presented in the arena for a pre-auction viewing from 3pm onwards on Sunday the 30th July.

These fantastic pieces of art will grace any home, garden, office, park or corporate symbol. The carvings are completely unique and you will not see them available anywhere else to purchase.
A variety of timber is used for the carvings- Oak, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar etc.
Feel free to come and meet the carvers during the 2 days, they will have a variety of stock pieces to sell to the public and will be more than happy to discuss any commission work for you.
Haulage and delivery can be arranged at the festival for the main auction sculptures. Please ask at Chainsaw Carving Arena in the festival regarding delivery.
On Saturday there will be 3 x 30 minute speed carving demonstrations throughout each day. On Sunday there will be 2 x 30 minute speed carving demonstration in the morning
The speed carving arena is part of the main carving arena and the carvers will leave work on their main auction piece to come and speed carve and wow the crowd.
For 30 minutes come and watch the sawdust flying and hear the sound of all the chainsaws buzzing. It is truly amazing what the carvers create in 30 minutes!
All these pieces are available to purchase immediately after they are carved and will be auctioned by our compere and auctioneer and you can take these home with you.
